The dates for this summer's youth camp at Fort Caswell are July 13 – 18. It will be here before you know it so sign-up today with the church office. This week is programmed for rising seventh through twelfth graders. In addition Bible study classes are provided for adult chaperons and college students. There will also be Youth Ministry training for the adults who attend each week of camp.
This experience at Fort Caswell is sponsored by the Mission Growth Evangelism Team of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Evangelism and discipleship are the main areas of focus with particular concerns for issues which confront today’s students. The desire of this team is for students to stand strong morally, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. They know that in order for this to happen, students must be grounded in deepened convictions about their relationship with God and His Word. Through personal quiet times, small group Bible studies, large group celebrations, recreation, creative worship, and church group devotions together youth discover what the scriptures says on how they should live out their lives.
Relationships is the theme for Youth Weeks 09 - Getting along with all of God’s creatures...family, friends, etc; Issues of romance, dating, sexuality, marriage, broken families, broken relationships, significant life changes. All participants will receive a theme t-shirt upon arrival at Caswell. Everyone will be asked to wear their t-shirts in Tuesday night worship, providing a visual image of unity.
