GOOD MORNING! Today, Sunday, Dec. 27, Bible study groups will start at FBC Huntersville at 10:00 am in the Discipleship Center and then there will be one joint service in the Sanctuary at 11:15 am. The scripture lesson for the Bible study groups is on 1 Samuel 2: 18-26 and can focus on "Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball", "Overcoming Your Circumstances By Vision", or "Investing Deeply". BLAST RETREAT NEWS

Currently have 46 registered for the Blast Retreat on Nov. 7 & 8!  Awesome chaps include Greg Bass, Garren Thomas, Teresa Mims, Aileen Ramirez, Cindy Meckola, Patty Towler, Scott Stevens and myself.  Thanks so much and prayers are welcome!

The Youth Council wants to offer an additional night to the Blast Retreat (not an up-all-night) the Friday before the retreat, Nov. 6, at the church to give youth more time to bond & grow friendships before leaving on the retreat.   This night is optional.  Details for the Friday night are still in the works but here are some initial thoughts:

1) The Additional Friday Overnight is for FBC-H youth attending the BLAST RETREAT (&/or) youth that couldn’t attend the retreat due to scheduling conflicts.  The goal of this additional night is to bond the students in our youth group and get them ready for what they will experience on the retreat.
2) There will be a midnight curfew so they are all rested for the retreat.
3) Adults chaps are needed for this Friday night only, this is Adults willing to stay Friday night and go home Saturday morning.  I need to have my BLAST Retreat chaps well rested for the weekend! Please contact me this week if you can help in anyway.  I will be away from the church this weekend and next week.
4) Students coming Friday will need to bring $5 for pizza delivery & breakfast.   I would also recommend them bringing any snacks or drinks they would like for the evening.
5) Remember there will be no cellular phones, tablets, or i-Pods on the Blast Retreat.  So you will need to bring a flashlight and a watch to be on time to activities.
6) On Saturday morning around 8:00 am students will load the luggage with the goal of leaving around 8:30 am to Look Up Lodge.  Any students attending Friday night (only) should make arrangements to be picked up no later than 8:30 am. Breakfast items will be available at 7:00 am allowing a brief time for cleanup.

Keep watch for more retreat details to come such as what time to arrive on Friday if you’re attending the additional Friday night.
