Calling ALL Adults (college, career & beyond)!
A planning meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, January 4, at 4:00-5:00pm in DC 103/104. There are some exciting new elements in store for this year’s D.Now Weekend that need your help. Pray about how you would like to help this year (food, decorations, transportation, host home, missions, worship, registration, small group leaders, prayer, etc.). Your participation & leadership yearly is what makes this event for our students (and church body) so successful. Every year seeds of faith are planted and memories formed that stay with our students for the rest of their lives. I hope you can help do that for our student this year as well. If you can attend this Sunday’s meeting from 4:00-5:00pm in the Discipleship Center, room 103/104, it will help get that discipleship weekend ball rolling faster. Thanks!
Hope to see you there! Marcus

No Mission Monday Today - August 11!
ATTENTION: MISSION MONDAY has ended for the summer as the Caterpillar Ministries need the day off to rest and get ready for their back-to-school supplies preparations. Therefore we will not have it today. Praise God for the seeds you all planted for His Kingdom this summer.
We are so proud of your leadership of this preschool camp this summer! God used you to share His love in very visible ways. Maria and Anne from Dad's House both offered a BIG KUDOS to everyone and said they would love to have us do it again next year. Yeah!!

Upcoming Wednesday Night Student Activities - April 23rd
Happy Tuesday!
The excitement has begun to grow around the church campus this week anticipating an amazing D.Now Weekend. Preparations to transform our campus to get ready for this ministry has already begun which causes our students to meet off campus with their small groups the Wednesday night before D.Now. The sixth grade through ninth grade Small Groups are invited to meet up with Marcus and several of their small group leaders at Lake Norman Mini Golf. Students will need to be dropped off at 6pm and picked up by 7:30pm. They are to bring $6 for a round of miniature golf. The group with the most "hole-n-ones" will be reward with either a soda or ice cream at the concession stand by Marcus. The address to LKN Mini Golf is: 18639 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC 28078.
Have a great day & can't wait to see you there!!

AMPLIFY UPDATE --- from Marcus
Wednesday evenings throughout the months of January & February our students began reflecting during AMPLIFY on what it means to GET UNCOMFORTABLE as a follower of Christ. Too often youth groups (as well as churches) get so comfortable they shift to a HOLY HUDDLE mentality as oppose to a HOSPITAL FOR SINNERS. In trying to live out the CALL to be in the world - not of the world - transforming the world (John 3:16-17) groups shift too far to one end of the pendulum only to discover they have "stopped caring" for others - the lost, the needy, the poor, each other.
On Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:45pm in the Exchange AMPLIFY gives students a chance to examine how they're doing in applying the WORD to their daily life. Enjoying team building activities, devotions, guest speakers, games, videos, etc, AMPLIFY seeks to help students' hearts become more sensitive to the things that mattered to Jesus.
If you haven't been able to join them on Wednesday evenings...its never too late! AND...those awesome small groups follow AMPLIFY from 6:45-7:30pm. Hope to see you there.
