Have You Ever Wondered Why....

Why do we find earthworms flopping around on sizzling hot sidewalks? I pondered this thought the other day and came up with 4 possible scenarios of what they might have been thinking. I shared them with our Hang Time folks this week and thought I would share them with you.

a) It wasn't hot when they started the journey and they are just so darn slow.
b) Like whales beach themselves when they anticipate their demise, worms have chosen this well-done approach to the afterlife.
c) Another worm double-dared him.
d) To get to the other side.

Enjoy the depth of this question!

GET YOUR TD DEVOTION BOOK TODAY!!

Throughout the Summer DON'T FORGET to schedule time with God. Make an appointment! Make it your "Total Devotion" to develop intimacy with your Creator.

In the spirit of fostering the importance of spending regular time with God, this summer our students will get a chance to lead devotions at the MIDWEEK Home Connections using their copy of TOTAL DEVOTION by Kevin Johnson. Youth who elect to lead that week's devotion can either discuss that current day's devotion from the book or choose a previous day's devotion occuring since our last gathering. Anywho...if all the youth have kept up with their 77-day challege to spend time with God they should be ready to prayerfully talk about any one of the devotions. (FYI - June 1st is Day #152 in this devotion book)
The summer of 2009 can be the start of something AWESOME in your life and the life of our youth group. TAKE THE CHALLENGE ...of 77-days of purpose! You want regret it! You can pick up your copy of TOTAL DEVOTION today from Marcus. Copies are available at the church NOW for only $5 (in stores for $13.99). Youth attending our Midweek Home Connections are not required to have a copy though it would be spiritually helpful!
